Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Indeed, only those who truly fear Allah are those with knowledge.” (Surah Fatir, 35:28)
True fear of Allah does not come from emotions alone, but from knowledge—understanding His words, His commands, His mercy, and His justice.
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“When Allah intends good for someone, He grants them understanding in religion.”
(Bukhari & Muslim)

Abdullah ibn Abbas, the Prophet’s cousin and one of the greatest scholars of this Ummah, once said:
“It is enough of an honor for knowledge that those who act upon it are called rabbaniyyīn (godly people), and those who lack it are lost.”
The Companions, when they heard a hadith or a command, would change their actions immediately — they never separated knowledge from transformation.
Umar ibn Al-Khattab once said:
“Learn knowledge before you lead.”
